Director and Head Makeup Teacher
With my years of experience and industry reputation, I have established myself as a premier trainer. After completing my formal training with Napoleon in 2004, I then went on to work for Napoleon and freelanced as a wedding makeup artist.
I have had success within the industry creating fashion looks for countless red-carpet events. My work has also been featured in various magazines such as Vogue, Girlfriend Magazine and Melbourne Bridal and Fashion World. I won back to back Makeup Artist of the Year ABIA Awards (2013 and 2014).
I became inspired by my clients, so I started offering one-on-one makeup lessons. I was delighted by how good they felt and the messages I received on how I changed their lives. The demand for lessons grew significantly so this led me to open the Tamarua Beauty Academy (aka the TBA).
After doing several courses at the start and throughout my career and after years of experience teaching at many education facilities I noticed a gap in the makeup education industry. The way our courses are structured set our students up for success. Each intake our curriculum is updated, to ensure we are up-to-date and offer the best industry relevant education.
My trainers have years of industry relevant experience with practical and theoretical knowledge. We are dedicated to teaching and provide excellent insight to the realistic side of the job. To be able to pass on our years of experience, skills and knowledge to our clients and students and then to see them transition into and then succeed in the industry is a blessing. We love what we do.
