Makeup Teacher – Maggie Tamarua
Originating from humble beginnings doing my own make up as a TV presenter, it’s taught me the importance and difference a skilled make up and beauty professional can make. Obtaining my formal training through Napoleon Perdis , I then went on to work for Napoleon for a further 6 years.
My skills as a makeup artist have not being limited to bridal parties. I have had success within the industry creating glamorous fashion looks for countless red carpet events such as The Brownlow Awards and The Logie Awards. My work has been featured in various magazines such as Girlfriend Magazine, Melbourne Bridal and Fashion World to name a few.
Hairstyling Teacher – Elesha Eddy
Elesha has a wealth of experience as a qualified hairdresser of 17 years. She has worked in high profile salons including Edward Beale (Toorak, Carlton and Hawthorn), is the previous owner of Raymond B Hair, Point Cook and is currently the National Technical Advisor for Natulique Organic Colour. She has also travelled to London, Barcelona and Sydney for Haircare Australia, with whom she work for seven years, as a Platform Artist and up-style educator to present at various hair expos.
Elesha took out the 2010 Victorian Lakme Colourist of the year and was runner-up in the national category of the same year.
Her work has been published in FHM, Cosmopolitan Bride, InStyle and various other hair magazines.
Makeup Teacher – Thom Grey
Thom started off at the TBA running makeup master classes. In 2016 Thom will join Maggie as a permanent teacher.
Thom started his makeup journey in Auckland New Zealand back in 2005 with Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown and Napoleon Perdis before securing his dream job with MAC cosmetics in 2007. In 2010 he moved to Melbourne where he continued working for MAC. Earlier this year Thom and Fellow MAC artist Briony Phipps established B+T MakeupDesign which has been a great success.
Maggie and Thom offer a wealth of experience, skill, knowledge and industry connections and look forward to sharing this with you.
Assistant Hair Teacher – Cassandra Jennings
Cassandra is a freelance hair and makeup artist with over 10 years experience providing services to the Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
Cassandra has been published in Photogenic magazine for hair, and has an extensive background in the customer service industry.
We are pleased to have Cassandra part of the Academy as our Assistant Hairstylist teacher where she excels at helping our students reach their full potential.
Assistant Makeup Teacher – Chantelle Taylor
Chantelle is a freelance hair and makeup artist with over 3 years experience providing services to the Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
Chantelle freelances mainly within the bridal and special occasion industry and has recently been published in Hunter Creative Magazine.
Chantelle has an extensive background in customer service and business administration. In conjunction with her assisting duties, Chantelle is also the TBA’s Administration Manager.
