In this Waxing course you will learn all aspects of Waxing techniques to service a variety of clients. The course is spread out over 5 weeks (3 hours per week) making it an ideal and effective way of learning the skills required and gaining the confidence needed to succeed.

Good waxing treatment leaves your skin smooth. Finding the right waxing technician has become quite a challenge now a days and this because somehow people have forgotten the real importance and standards of waxing. But to bring back this custom to life, the Tamarua Beauty Academy has created its very own waxing course, prepared to teach you everything from the most basic to the most advanced professional facial.

Unlike other hair removal techniques such as threading; waxing can be done on almost any part of the body including arms, legs, back, eyebrow, abdomen, face, bikini area and feet.

Waxing is the most advantageous and affordable way of removing excess or unwanted hair from the body. This leaves the waxed area very smooth and makes it a very popular service with customers.
Our Waxing course is course, particularly designed with 15 intensive hours of practice, which focuses on providing students with all the essential skills and knowledge prior to starting in the workforce.
Including theory and practical components of Full Body Waxing (Arms, Underarms, Legs and Bikini areas) , or Eyebrow design & shaping, Lip and Chin waxing.
More excitingly, by enrolling in the course, students will not only have the opportunity to practice the techniques on real clients but they’ll also receive in-person treatment demonstration from the trainer so they know and understand what the client feels like when receiving the same service that you are providing.
This is a 5 week course.
Models required every week at 630pm.
Course runs one night a week for 3 hours
Content:
• - Hygiene, Safety & Sanitisation
• - Work area set up
• - Products & Equipment knowledge
• - establish client priorities and design the treatment plan with consultation and skin analysis to determine client requirements
• -prepare for the waxing service according to salon protocol and relevant health and safety legislative requirements
• -apply and remove wax most effectively with minimal adverse effects
• - Hair Analysis /Type/ Density
• - Hair Growth Cycle
• - Background of the skin biology
• - Photo-ageing and Pigmentation
• - Skin Diseases and Disorder
• - Client home maintenance and aftercare advice

To explain how it’s done, we are going to look into the two methods of doing it.

HOT Wax and Strip Wax.
Week 1 - Theory and Practical (Model required 630pm)
Hot Wax - Underarms
Hot Wax - Upper Lip/Chin/Sides of face
Week 2 - Theory and Practical (Model required 630pm)
Hot wax - Bikini Line
Hot Wax - Basic Brows
Week 3 - Theory and Practical (Model Required 630pm)
Strip Wax - Full Legs/Toes
Week 4 - Theory and Practical (Model required 630pm)
Arms/Fingers
Week 5 - Theory and Practical (Male model required)
Stomach/Back/Chest

Bonus Class - Brazilian extra $200 (Once enrolment received for course, you will have an option to do an extra week after week 5)

Tried and true methods for getting your business started - this course will equip you with both the theoretical and practical expertise to effectively service a full in-depth body wax treatment, whilst increasing your knowledge to keep clients coming back for more.
All equipment and disposable products are supplied in class for practical.
Includes a comprehensive Training Manual/Workbook.
Work Experience
Practical experience is critical in beauty, and nothing compares to the real-world hands-on experience you’ll receive at the Tamarua Beauty Academy.
Your trainer will prepare you for real world situations.
You will complete 5 practical sessions which will build your confidence and enhance your newly acquired skills. These sessions also act as your work experience days and will save you having to find salon work experience.

Certification is gained on the successful completion of all elements in this course.
We offer Certification of Competency at the TBA. This means that you have actually submitted work, been assessed on your work and have only been given a certificate based on the assessor/trainer's decision that you have proven competent in the service. This is obviously a much more reputable certification and one that allows you to be more confident in what you produce as well.
